Community Brunch
Each Thursday, we open our doors so that anyone in the community can enjoy a hot brunch and supportive company—no appointments, no barriers. Volunteers help make this possible by offering their time, kindness, and presence. If you enjoy serving others, building relationships, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere, this is a rewarding way to give back.
Volunteer Role
As a volunteer, you’ll welcome guests with warmth and dignity while helping with simple food preparation, serving brunch, and supporting cleanup afterward. You’ll also spend time connecting with community members, offering friendly conversation, and helping create a safe, respectful, and inviting atmosphere for everyone who attends.
Program Details
Community Brunch takes place every Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM as a drop-in program open to all. Volunteers can participate in a single shift or return regularly, depending on their availability.
A Meaningful Hour
Your presence helps ensure every guest receives more than a meal—
they receive care, acknowledgment, and community.
Why Volunteers Matter
A warm meal is only the beginning. Volunteers help reduce social isolation by offering genuine hospitality, conversation, and connection. Your time directly impacts neighbours who may be facing loneliness, food insecurity, or difficult life transitions.
Skills You’ll Use or Build
In this role, you’ll use and strengthen skills such as compassionate communication, community engagement, teamwork, and hospitality. Volunteering at Community Brunch offers a natural way to develop confidence in connecting with others while working alongside a supportive team dedicated to serving the community.
